Making Decisions and Crossing the Bridge
It is a courageous move to take the first steps to begin psychotherapy. There are many ways of knowing and roads to healing, and psychotherapy is one of many. Often people watch from the foot of the bridge and observe others who seek the challenges of life. As a co-participatory therapist, I offer a hand to cross the bridge and help open doors to embark on a new journey.
I am a psychoanalytic clinician who has been in private practice for more than twenty-five years. Therapy provides a way of helping people reach their unique and fullest potential. It promotes opportunities for people to find meaningful ways to identify, express and nurture their creative and spiritual aspects.
On the other hand, i am goal-oriented. I embrace your vision of accomplishing goals that you have set for yourself. Your goals may range from improving relationships, to improving social interactions and dealing with work issues. Sometimes people aren't sure of what would make them happy. I believe that getting to know yourself will help you to arrive at some of these answers.
My practice includes a diverse broad range of patients. Some want to improve communication in their relationships. Some are experiencing overwhelming emotions such as anxiety, depression or remembering childhood and adult trauma. Do you have symptoms of anxiety? Anxiety may present itself as excessive worry, jitters or butterflies in the stomach. Might you suffer from depression? Symptoms of depression include sadness, hopelessness, feeling trapped, tired or lacking motivation. Are you a survivor of childhood abuse or neglect? Early experience often impacts adult relationships, work, school and pleasure. If you would like to make better choices in your life, therapy is a way to explore different options.
There is no other forum like therapy; a space and place that provides a luxury of self-examination. Through dialogue, exchange and understanding, therapy can help you work out unresolved impasses and gain clarity to reach goals.
